Northern California Umpires Association
The Northern California Umpires Association is a group of independent contractors providing baseball and softball umpire services since 1944 in San Francisco and neighboring cities in the San Francisco Bay Area.  The NCUA provides umpires for high school, middle school, college, and adult leagues.  Our group of softball umpires operate under the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) charter and guidelines.  Our group of baseball umpires apply National Federation of High School (NFHS), PONY Baseball/Softball, and Little League rules according to the league's affiliation.

The NCUA is looking for new members to umpire Baseball and Softball for the 2012 season.  Fill out an Application here online.

The last General Meeting of 2011 was held 6 December, at the Rod & Gun Club.  All Executive Officers and Board members were reelected: Chuck Louie, President; Alex Andrus, Secretary; Henry Jung, Treasurer; Anna Louie, VP Softball; Don Simon, VP Baseball; and Alex Alexander and Isac Gutfreund, Board members. 

The 2012 General meeting dates are tentatively set :  Monday March 12, Tuesday June 19, Tuesday November 13, and Tuesday December 11 at the Rod & Gun Club.  General Meetings begin at 7:00 pm softball, 7:30 pm general session, followed by baseball.

The 21st annual ASA San Francisco Softball Umpire School will be held March 3 and 4, 2012.

High school baseball begins in late February.  Make up clinics and field clinics begin 25 January 2011 .  It's not too late to join in!
